Intel® Teach professional development promotes standards-aligned, project-based approaches to learning. Participants build units of instruction that engage students with 21st century skills and appropriate use of technology.
Originally designed by classroom teachers for in-service professional development, the program was expanded to support teacher preparation. Pre-service institutions around the world now incorporate Intel Teach curriculum in required coursework, with research evidence demonstrating positive impact.
Two courses are offered through the Pre-Service program:
the Intel Teach Essentials Course
(available for delivery in both face-to-face or a hybrid online course environment) and
the Intel Teach Thinking with Technology Course.
To support the pedagogical approaches necessary for digital age learners, both courses incorporate online tools,
Web 2.0 and social networking for higher-order thinking, assessment, collaboration and communication.
