I always take a thoughtful, active role in my own learning, challenging myself on a daily basis so that I can contribute wholeheartedly to the group.

I consistently demonstrate a genuine desire to learn and share my ideas with my classmates.

I initiate discussions, ask significant questions, and act as a leader within the group.

I am willing to take risks, to assert an opinion and support it, and to listen actively to others.

I am always well prepared to contribute to the group as a result of having thoughtfully completed my tasks, and the thoroughness of my work demonstrates the high regard I have for learning.

I consistently take an active role in my own learning so that I can contribute my best to the group.                   

I participate regularly in discussions and frequently volunteer my ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and defend my opinions.

I listen respectfully to my classmates and am willing to share ideas.

I complete my tasks and am prepared to contribute to the group.

I sometimes take an active role in my own learning, sharing relevant ideas and asking appropriate questions.             

Although reluctant to take risks, I contribute to discussions.

I listen to my classmates and respect their opinions most of the time.

I may need occasional reminders to stay on task, to make the most of my group time, and to increase my contributions to the group.

I rarely take an active role in my own learning. I often do not participate and rarely share ideas or ask questions.           

I have poor listening skills and may be intolerant of my classmates’ opinions.

I participate only when prompted.

I do not complete my tasks so am not prepared to contribute thoughtfully with detail or substance. I need regular reminders to stay on task.
