Task: Explain three ways to keep yourself and others safe when you use the Internet.
Goal: Show that you can use the expository style of writing effectively.

- Start a new word processing document. Always remember to type your name and the date at the top of the document.
- Think of a title that describes your topic. Type a title for the document.
- Write three paragraphs in the expository style, with each paragraph explaining a strategy for keeping yourself and others safe when you use the Internet.
- Remember to save your document frequently while you work.
- Check the spelling and grammar in your paragraphs.
- Double-check your work by reading the document carefully one more time.
- Review the checklist and revise your explanation to make sure it is complete.
