Activity 2: Fetch, Decode, and Execute in a Chip
Fetch, Decode, and Execute in a Chip
The fetch, decode, and execute steps each take place in a specific area of a microprocessor. Transistors handle each of these steps (and a microprocessor has millions of these transistors). It is not obvious looking at a chip which group of transistors does what.

To find out, roll your pointer over each processing step.
